Fashion designer Scott Henshall has enlisted the help of his
celebrity pals to launch his Newcastle Gateshead collection today.

It was being unveiled at the Saatchi Gallery this afternoon during
London Fashion Week.

And the Northumbria University graduate has Irish pop singer
Samantha Mumba, who made headlines when she wore his ?m diamond web
dress for the Spider-Man 2 premiere in July, is one of those on the
catwalk.

She was being joined by Lady Isabella Hervey and Dion from Mobo-
award winning group Big Brovaz as well as Georgina, the daughter of
Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern and her boyfriend, Nicky Byrne,

But he still had time to design a green and yellow polka dot dress
for model Sophie Anderton to wear to the movie premiere of Wimbledon
in London.

Scott said: "I think all the designs are very sexy, very street and
ghetto fabulous.

"My favourite is a liquid gold leather bomber jacket.

"I'm very excited about the collection and I hope the clothes will
get a good reaction."

Scott's designs include a floor length chocolate georgette evening
dress, which also comes in hot pink with gold leather trimmed
detail, and a gold leather catsuit.

The Newcastle Gateshead collection will be shown in Leazes Park,
Newcastle, next month.

For those who want to wear Scott's work they will be able to buy the
outfits from all New Look stores in the North East, from September
22.

Also in Scott's audience today is Chronicle competition winner,

And Scott is giving out 600 goodie bags which will include T-shirts
designed by youngster Vicky Hook.
